Breaks are good- plenty of rest , allow the brain to go rusty and shelf some time to do other stuff.

Have been a long time since the last post.
It's exactly 2 months and 5 days away from x-mas...
This seems to be the first time that I notice x-mas is coming without reminders from the x-mas songs ringing from stores and lights dazzling high up in the trees in Orchard Road.

2009 has so far been a good year where a few major goals have been achieved. I hope it will continue to run its smooth course for many years to come...

I am a victim of a scam transaction in purchasing a camera at CAMERATALK, Sim Lim, 2nd floor today.

Call me slow but I am seriously addicted to bejeweled blitz in facebook. 
My eyes get criss crossed from staring at the jewels...
When I close my eyes, I can visualise all the different coloured jewels (red squares, purple triangles, orange hectagons, white balls, green calls, yellow slanted squares and blue diamonds) stacked orderly right in front of me!!!
Freaking hopeless, I tell you.....

Where's the break?

It took 3 pple and more than 20 mins to draw a few mililitres of blood from me...

First, nurse no.1 pricked my right inner elbow. No blood-> so she went to seek help from nurse no.2...

Nurse no.2 came along and attempted to draw blood from my left inner elbow. No blood again...

I was groaning under my breathe, then the doctor came out and pricked the THIRD needle into my body, this time below my thumb on my left hand... The length of the needle stayed under my skin for at least 15 mins (no exaggerating, I have witnesses) cos the blood simply  refused to flow out of my body....  So the needle and my vein played hide-and-seek for the longest time... till the doc almost gave up too. So 3 adults crowded over my hand, peering helplessly at the empty syringe... :S

Nurse no.2 said I have "running veins"... What?!
Apparently, I can't find such terms in wikipedia...

I freakingly need a LOOONGGG BREAK!!!

We have creepily, unbelievingly, astonishingly,  inched into the month of June as we speak now... FREAKING BASKET!!!

My laptop keeps screaming: "Low Disk Space" every few minutes.... Its a sign.....

Grrrr...... let's hope that the H1N1 goes away harmlessly very SOON.....

It was a good fun at a farewell BBQ.
Meeting up with colleagues and playing Wii. 
Theres really quite a range of games in Wii and was fun esp with a big group of pple.

I am feeling the soreness in my arm now. Tsk....

Had crabs continously for 3 weeks... no wonder I can't walk straight very well... :S

Has time slipped by so fast that it's already April now? Jan-Mar slipped and bypassed like a gust of wind. It certainly feels like just stepping into year 2009 for me.....

It's almost hitting mid 2009 !! I can't believe it!

This is our first year giving ang pows... I admit I really miss receiving ang pows... I wish I was a kid again...

CNY is a great time for gatherings and junk eating ...hehe...all the pineapple tarts, love letters, peanut puff, cornflakes/cocoa cookies, peanut cookies, almond cookies, kueh lapis, kueh bulu, cashew nuts, pistachios, macademia nuts, ba kwa, honeycombs,hei bi rolls, chocolate coins, melon seeds... u name it, CNY have it!

Painted screaming red nails for the new year... its the only time of the year that I dare to paint in such striking colour...

I need more time, more time to catch up my work.... 4 days (minus renion dinners and visitings) is just too short!! Urgh!!

It was the last 2 episodes. I am not afraid to admit that I already started to miss 小娘惹 !!!
I am definitely not a TV addict. I think the last TCS show I was chasing was when it was still SBC more than 2 decades lor....

Really kudos to everyone in the crew- scriptwriter, director, staff whom researched on Penerakan culture- be it beaded shoes, the beautiful kebayas, traditional Nyonya dishes+ deserts, Nyonya wedding customs, Penerakan places to shoots, Penerakan crokery etc, of course and the crew of actors + actresses whom gets the glam of them all. Two years of hard work!! Every bit has been paid off. The entire Singapore see and appreciate each and everyone of your efforts! Highest TV series rating for 15 years!!

Almost everyone I know was chasing the series esp, the last 2 weeks of the shows. Sometimes, its just soooo frustrating to see those evil guys in the show eg. whole of Huang family + Zhang family (Robert+ Charlie) that I just get so angry over it! Tsk tsk.. the storyplot is very entwining, esp over the 6 generations of Penerakans. Neverthelss, so full of rich culture and it's so real (though the story plot is not)

I definitely look forward to another marvellous local TV series!
